Do not eat the bread of a stingy greedy man, nor desire his delicacies; For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you. The morsel you have eaten, you will vomit up, And waste your pleasant words. - Proverbs 23:6-8

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. -Matthew 6:19-21

In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. - Psalm 16:11

Be not grieved and depressed, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold. - Nehemiah 8:10

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. - Psalm 100:4

The fear of the Lord *is* the beginning of wisdom. - Proverbs 9:10

We have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes *are* upon You. Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you. - 2 Chronicles 20:12, 15, 17
